Journal Prompts
Take an inventory of your day. Write down everything you did from when you woke up until now.
Write about a song you can't stop listening to.
Have you read anything good lately? Write about it. How did it impact you, the way you think?
Is there something distracting you? Write/ rant about it until it's on the page instead of in your head.
Write about a dream you had in as much detail as you can.
Morning pages: first thing in the morning fill three pages with stream-of-consciousness writing.
Reflect on three positive traits about yourself.
Write about something you did well recently.
List at least three things you are grateful for each day (this is a good practice to start each journal entry with).
Write about where you are and what you're doing (this is a good grounding exercise).
Is there a memory or experience you're scared or hesitant to talk about? Write it down and show no one (you can also tear it up or burn it- safely please).
At the end of each day, write a list of intentions for the next day.
Write about your ideal life. No detail is too small and no dream is too big. Write down everything you think will make you happy.
Make a list of topics you want to know more about. Then dedicate some time to researching those topics.
Write down your favorite quotes from your favorite song/ poem/ book etc.
List things you love about yourself that you think others might not notice.
What's your biggest worry right now? Write it all down.
Process a recent situation where you had a strong emotional reaction.
Write about any physical sensations you have in your body right now (another good grounding exercise).
